OUR PRINCIPLES
The DEMOCRACY IN BRIDPORT PROJECT is a part of the HOME IN BRIDPORT PROJECT that uses education, culture, the arts and horticulture to provide people ways to improve their knowledge, skills and opportunities, as well as to provide people places to grow food and to reflect about their diets.
We hope that in these trying times in which people ask 'why should I bother to vote', that this project may help people to gain an unbiased view of the world they live in, and to reflect on how they can become re-engaged in the political process which is at the centre of their entire life.
We also hope that teachers and students will access our visual and written essays, give us feedback, add to and use the sight as a place to study, learn and contribute. We are open to all views which are given in the best democratic spirit, but will not accept racist, sexist or other intolerance nor are we interested in hosting commercial or religious bias nor political parties.

There is no democracy without equality;
there is no equality without justice;
there is no justice without freedom;
there is no freedom without truth;
there is no truth without knowledge;
there is no knowledge without curiosity;
there is no curiosity without empathy;
there is no empathy without kindness.
